My Interview with Éric Fassin is now online

Together with the Research Group on Soft Authoritarianisms, we are currently preparing a special issue of the journal Global Society. It will feature contributions from many experts who study the authoritarian transformation of liberal democracies. I interviewed the French sociologist Éric Fassin on this topic. He is a professor of sociology and gender studies at the University of Vincennes-Saint-Denis (Paris 8) and has written a number of books on populism, democracy under threat, and gender relations. He has also published two books that examine anti-intellectualism and the “neofascist moment of neoliberalism.” I interviewed him specifically on this topic. Anyone with access via a library server can download the interview here (or contact me directly).
